Fernando Alonso made a surprise appearance behind the wheel of a McLaren at Jerez today. He had white overalls and a white helmet acheter xifaxan. For a minute I thought Frosty the Snowman was testing for McLaren. It seems this kid decked out in Renault-style clothes thought the same when he posed for this photo with who he thought was the 2-times World Champion…

Hmm.. so why are there two? 
There has been a lot of talk about who will fill the 2 seats at Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2007. Sebastian Bourdais’ name has popped up recently due to the fact he’ll be testing with the team this week in Jerez. Even Mika Hakkinen’s name has been thrown about. Both however, seem unlikely.
A more likely scenario would see Sebastian to the Renault-powered Red Bull Racing in 2008 as he is under contract with the Newman Haas Champ Car team for 2007.
Honda’s Nick Fry has stated that Honda’s 2007 livery will be something special. He was quoted as saying:
You will not see a car covered in Honda logos, it will be something very different.
Umm.. yeah, ok Nick.. That sounds a lot like STR’s predictable ‘red bull’ livery at the start of 2006… But let’s think what Honda might have come up with…
Now if you really want to be ‘out there’, how about having parts of the body formed with an LED matrix that can display scrolling advertising? Imagine seeing that on the rear wing as a car flies down the straights… 
You’ve gotta love Flavio Briatore and the punches he pulls whenever he talks to the media.. Â Take, for example, one of his comments when asked whether McLaren had approached Renault to have Fernando Alonso released from his contract early:
I wish Fernando a merry Christmas and a relaxing holiday, because when the season starts we will beat him.
