Lewis Hamilton is Sexy

{ Posted on Jul 11 2007 by dScribe }

We get the odd groupie on this web site. Generally they’re young teenage girls. An interesting demographic that Bernie Ecclestone might explore one day (or maybe Tamara Ecclestone should?)..

At first we had girls obsessed with Fernando Alonso and his girlfriend Raquel del Rosario. Then, as soon as Kimi moved to Ferrari we had the Kimi Raikkonen fan club really gather momentum.

Now it’s Lewis Hamilton fever. We noticed a lot of “sexy” searches to the site lately, so we thought we’d have a look at just who (or what) the fans think is sexy.. Here’s all the searches bringing “sexy” back lately… ;)

lewis hamilton is sexy
lewis hamilton sexy
lewis hamilton sexy pics
mercedes slr mclaren sexy
sexy f1 girlfriends and wives
lewis hamilton sexy boy

I guess the general opinion is Lewis Hamilton is sexy then? :) Unless all those searches were done by Jodia Ma?? ;)

British GP – Hamilton given Slow Car, Alonso given Fast

{ Posted on Jul 10 2007 by dScribe }

I can understand James Allen being pained by the fact that Lewis Hamilton had no chance of winning the British Grand Prix on the weekend, but the excuses really have to stop. Not only was James making excuses for Lewis, but the normally well balanced and unbiased Martin Brundle was doing the same!

It started with James constantly saying Lewis had a “slow car” under him or that his “car was slow at the moment”.. A subtle difference to saying something along the lines of “Lewis is slow at the moment”, I know, but it got worse when both James and Martin were convinced Lewis must have a problem in the car.

The next thing you know they’ll be saying Lewis was given a slow car and Fernando was given a fast car.. 8)

Many factions of the media really “baby” Lewis. All I can say is he’s lucky BMW were somewhat off-form on the weekend and that Massa was out of contention, or his Championship lead would have been considerably less. Yes, he is a rookie, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t make mistakes and that others should be praised any less.

Fernando Alonso – Really showed up teammate Lewis Hamilton. Sheer magic that he came out of the first round of pit stops ahead of both Lewis and Kimi!

Kimi Raikkonen – While Fernando Alonso’s first pit stop was magic, the laps Kimi put in for the 2nd round of pit stops were even more magical. What a fantastic comeback from the Finn! He really does look like he can be a Championship threat now.

Felipe Massa – Fantastic passing from the back of the grid! Hit a bit of a road-block when he got up to about 7th place, but great damage-limitation. Would have probably been a Ferrari 1-2 if he didn’t have problems at the start. Equal man of the race with Kimi :)

Lewis Hamilton – Somewhat lucky to get 3rd. Another poor start (I thought you can only change your racing line once?).. ballsed up the first pit stop (the fuel guy did a super job to not fall over and to keep the fuel going).. ended up a long way back.. Still managed to get some valuable points though.

Robert Kubica – This guy is on fire! :)

Renault – They look to be making a bit of a comeback.. Nice to see.

Testing: Schumacher vs Hakkinen?

{ Posted on Jul 06 2007 by dScribe }

There have been a lot of rumours that Michael Schumacher has secretly tested the 2007 Ferrari F1 car recently. Whether they’re true or not we don’t know, but it would be great if Ferrari and McLaren could arrange a shoot-out for the fans during one of their test sessions this year.

With the Ferrari and McLaren cars being fairly equal this year, what better time to bring back their past World Champions Michael Schumacher and Mika Hakkinen respectively! Have a shoot-out for top spot on the timesheets :)

Of course, with the F1 title battle being so intense, such a test would probably have to happen after the World Championships are already decided… but one can dream :)

I can’t decide who’s more arrogant out of the two..

With such a “warm” conversation is it any wonder Michael Schumacher never drove for McLaren? :)

France – Goodbye Lewis, Hello Kimi

{ Posted on Jul 02 2007 by dScribe }

While we say goodbye to France from the Formula One World Championship, Lewis Hamilton said goodbye to pole position and the race victory.

Kimi Raikkonen – Welcome back Kimi! While not as dominant as his Australian Grand Prix victory, he worked a bit of magic to get ahead of teammate Felipe Massa in the pits. A really great drive to keep the McLaren boys honest.

Felipe Massa – Another strong performance from the Brazilian. Great pole, great start and a fairly good race – only thing that let him down has a handful of slow laps around Kimi’s pit stop.

Lewis Hamilton – Another bad start, but this time didn’t have the luxury of going up against a teammate who will always avoid an accident into the first corner.. Thus Kimi powered through. People want to blame the McLaren strategy, but regardless Ferrari had the edge through the whole race.

Fernando Alonso – Very exciting to watch, but in reality it’s another bad race for Fernando.

Nick Heidfeld – Nick is possibly doing a better job at preventing Alonso from getting a 3rd straight championship than Lewis Hamilton is ;)   Not a bad drive, but he didn’t seem very quick, especially when compared to his teammate.

Giancarlo Fisichella – Fantastic result for Renault! I wonder if Renault are thinking about their driver line-up for next year because both Giancarlo and Heikki have got their sh*t together so much in the last few rounds.. :)

Robert Kubica – Wow! What a comeback! This is the best thing that could happen to the guy to get him right back in the swing of things! :)

Christijan Albers – WTF!? Who on Earth drives off while the lollipop is still down (and absolutely no sign of flinching from the lollipop man)!? An absolute embarrassment and just lucky no-one was hurt! :(

Jenson Button – Quite a good performance for him and Honda in the new car. But does anyone know who Honda’s 2nd driver is because I haven’t seen Rubens Barrichello anywhere for.. well.. all year basically ;)
