Spy Shot: Bahrain’s new F1 Team
At the start of the year, the Bahrain government purchased 30% of the McLaren Group under the name Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding. There is no question that Bahrain has a great interest in F1, but the McLaren purchase may be more to do with positioning Mercedes in the region and the potential development of a production plant in the country.
If the following photos are anything to go by, it seems another group in Bahrain have already produced 2 of their very own F1 cars! It is believed that the cars do not conform to the 2007 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations. Apparently in testing they’re having a particularly bad time with cross winds causing breakage…

Driver dehydration is also a problem in the desert…
