German Grand Prix – Hockenheim

Another race, another Ferrari one-two. They certainly turned their season around in the most remarkable way. Or do they simply have better tyres now? Or has the competition dropped the ball?
- Michael Schumacher – Nothing brilliant during the race. Just a fast driver in a fast car.
- Felipe Massa – Again, nothing brilliant. But he does seem to be more at home at Ferrari now. And at least he’s staying on the track!!
- Fernando Alonso – Even though he finished ahead of Giancarlo Fisichella, he looked slower the whole race. Looked quick as he was chasing down Jenson Button but was very lucky not to have a big accident when he went off track.
- Honda – Quite a good comeback overall. Or is it just they have a great engine in a crappy chassis? If that’s the case, expect them to be well down the field in Hungary. Hopefully they’ve genuinely improved.
- Kimi Raikkonen – Great to see him back on the podium. Would have been interesting to see where Pedro de la Rosa would have ended up, but you’d have to say McLaren look on par with Renault now in terms of race pace.
- Christian Klein – Great performance to score a point for Red Bull Racing! Obviously he’s fighting for his seat next year and I don’t understand why. When he first came into F1 I thought, typical pay driver.. but he has proved more than once that he has the talent to justify his place in F1.
- Sakon Yamamoto – OMG.. where do I start!? There are much better Japanese drivers than this guy. Every time Super Aguri put a joke of a driver in their car it just shows how damn good Takuma Sato is!
Here’s hoping racing at the Hungaroring will be more interesting (theoretically it should be)
