Rossi says No to F1 and Ferrari
After months of speculation, Valentino Rossi has finally decided not to join the Ferrari team to race in Formula One. It seems the team were extremely impressed with Rossi, yet he has unfinished business in MotoGP. Rossi was quoted as saying:
I will continue, at least for some time more, to race motorbikes…My friends at Ferrari gave me the chance to do some car testing. That was a fantastic experience both technically and personally but I think that my work on the motorbike is not finished and I’m still very motivated.
Formula One World Champion Fernando Alonso has always been very critical of Rossi. He has previously stated he could do well in MotoGP if given enough testing, just as Rossi could do well in F1 with enough testing. When told about Rossi’s decision, Alonso replied:
Good. We don’t talk anything more about him. After four months, maybe this is the last question (I face about him).
