European Grand Prix – Nurburgring

Straight to the interesting points.. 
- Rod Nelson, Fernando Alonso’s race engineer was forced to eat his words after saying this before the race:
“However, I think they (Ferrari) have gone for quite soft tyres this weekend. They are quick on one lap, but they seem to lose performance after two or three laps. So we are feeling pretty confident.”
- Felipe Massa actually stayed on the track for a full grand prix!
- The McLaren strategy failed once again after looking like both their drivers might have one less pit stop to do than everyone else.. I hate to say it but their championship attack is almost over already.
- Mark Webber – must be getting his pen ready to sign that Renault 2007 contract.
- Jacques Villeneuve – Another very strong performance. He really seems to have come to grips with the car and is now getting on with the job. Albeit with Giancarol Fisichella right on his ass..
- Nico Rosberg – Just when he was looking rather quiet in F1 the golden boy shows some gritty magic.
- V8 Engine – they sure didn’t survive well in Luxembourg did they?
